Ferrari's decision to accept cryptocurrency payments is driven by market demand and dealer requests. Additionally, this luxury car manufacturer also plans to accept cryptocurrency payments in Europe.
According to a report from Reuters on October 14, Ferrari's Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Enrico Galliera, confirmed this plan. While specific numbers of cars to be sold through cryptocurrency payments were not mentioned, the report indicates that Ferrari has already booked a significant number of orders, all of which are filled through 2025. Furthermore, the carmaker plans to introduce cryptocurrency payment options in Europe before the first quarter of 2024 and subsequently expand to other regions that support cryptocurrency.
The report also notes that in the early stages in the United States, Ferrari has already partnered with the major cryptocurrency payment processor BitPay.
